My glory days as an indie book slinger.

A flamingo turned snowbird — Rachel Reynolds Westerwelle was born in South Florida and now lives in New Jersey. She has worked with Syfy, ABC News, documentary filmmakers, indie bookstores, and led a few ghost tours along the way. She is currently at work on her first novel.

Her hand-cut collage artwork focuses on identity, our connections with nature, and erasure. She spends her days working a scissors’ blades around a butterfly’s wing; plucking words the way a starling selects twigs to make its nest; and freeing one image from a story to let it tell something new.
